What is poured limestone and how does it work?
Lime Crete Paving and Landscaping is an Australian owned and operated business using its own unique special blend of crushed limestone which is delivered and mixed on site using our mobile batching plant.
The liquid limestone is poured en masse in a similar way to which standard concrete is laid. The steel reinforcing and thickness of the paving will vary depending on the traffic use.
As your limestone starts to set, our specially trained team will create and hand sculpt the pattern, jointing lines and finished texture.
We then return the following day to clean and complete all works. Our paving can be walked on the following day.
The process of using poured limestone makes the job more time efficient and less invasive than laying individual pavers, therefor making the whole experience cost effective.
Liquid limestone paving has been poured in Western Australia since the early 1980’s and has fast become one of the most sort after paving alternatives due to long hot summers and the thermal benefits that it provides. Not only is the limestone cool underfoot and comfortable to walk on in summer but the limestone will not absorb the heat like other paving or concrete products, keeping radiant heat from entering your house throughout the day. This will keep energy costs down as you try to cool your home.
Other benefits to using our paving method, is that because the limestone is poured as a slab there are no uncontrollable weeds or ant hills to contend with, thus keeping maintenance to a minimum.
Liquid limestone paving has been complementing Melbourne homes and commercial environments since early 2003.
